The East Midlands is committed to maximising the benefits from the Games. This site will keep you up to date with what is happening at a regional and local level as well as the latest news from London 2012.
Using the navigation bar along the top you can find out about each of the eight key activity areas, the Regional Strategy, any documents relating to the Games and what is happening in each of the five counties.
The key activity areas are lead by: East Midlands Development Agency, Sport England, East Midlands Tourism, Government Office for the East Midlands and Culture East Midlands. Working in partnership these organisations form the East Midlands Steering Group for the 2012 Games and are developing the regional strategy for the Games.

Pre Games Training Camps
The East Midlands is the ideal place to come and prepare for the London 2012 Olympic Games and Paralympic Games. As England's fourth largest region it is positioned right in the middle of the country. The counties of Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, Northamptonshire, Nottinghamshire and Rutland make up the East Midlands and all six are truly committed to supporting the 2012 Games. [more]
