emda is committed to supporting the region through the current downturn and has put in place a range of measures to provide help during these challenging times.
Over the long term emda's aim is to deliver the 2006 Regional Economic Strategy (RES) by working in partnership with public, private and voluntary organisations.
The RES sets out a vision for the East Midlands to be ‘a flourishing region’ by 2020 – with growing and innovative businesses, skilled people in good quality jobs, participating in healthy, inclusive communities and living in thriving and attractive places.
We face exciting and challenging times in the years ahead as we continue to put in place the plans and frameworks which will make us a flourishing region. The involvement of all stakeholders is critical as we do all we can to ensure our vision delivers the aims, desires and aspirations of those who live and work in the region. Together we can make a difference.
