New website to aid East Midlands Businesses
06/12/2005
Businesses in the East Midlands can access a wide range of local and national information at one location with the launch of a new website. The five websites of the East Midlands Business Links can now be accessed through the one platform www.businesslink.gov.uk along with general business information.
John O’Reilly is Director of Business Support at the East Midlands Development Agency, which manages Business Link services in the region.
“This major redevelopment integrates the existing web services of the five Business Links in the region with the national site. This will provide numerous benefits, allowing customers to make the most of the vast resources on offer at both local and national levels.”
One of the key features of the new site is the ‘e book’, a self-help document that users can create themselves, choosing from a range of plain English guides. There is also a start-up checklist for people thinking of setting up their own business and an easy to understand guide on the rules and regulations that affect small and medium sized firms.
John O’Reilly continued: “Not only will the site help companies make the most of the information available, it will also improve the efficiency of the service with the increased capacity available through the national site.”
The website can be accessed at www.businesslink.gov.uk
